Madelyn is so excited to join the Common Grain Alliance and serve as our next Executive Director! She is passionate about the role of strong regional food systems in building vibrant communities, healthy environments, and prosperous economies, as well as delivering the best tasting food products around. Madelyn and her husband currently live in Washington D.C., but both grew up in Louisiana where they were raised with an appreciation for good food and strong community. Madelyn has a background in environmental conflict resolution, and at her previous organization, Meridian Institute, she facilitated a bipartisan, multi-stakeholder coalition working to advance agriculture conservation policy. While making the case to policymakers that conservation practices build long-term resilience, she came to understand the importance of diversified farming and strong regional food systems. In her free time, Madelyn enjoys reading cookbooks and food essays, baking focaccia, and cycling. She is excited to expand the impact of Common Grain Alliance.
