Libby Lyon has worked with Common Grain Alliance since September 2019, supporting CGA’s communications, program development, and grant writing efforts. She is currently CGA’s Director of Programs and Partnerships. Prior to starting her consultancy, Roots and Rows, Libby worked as an Operations and Program Specialist for Fairfax County Public Schools' Office of Food and Nutrition Services, served as a cooking and gardening teacher through FoodCorps in Washington, DC, and managed farmers markets in New York, where she first learned about regional grain movements through GrowNYC Grains. She is excited to support the growth of the Mid-Atlantic’s grain value chain.

Libby holds an Urban and Environmental Planning degree from the University of Virginia and an MA in the Sociology of Education from the Institute of Education, University College London. She lives in Norfolk, Virginia with her husband, Brian, and dog, Bruce.
